Give it away!

Chances are you already have done all you need to do in order to be half-a-grand better off and generally richer in kudos. Some of you will have kept a diary in the past, writing down intimate secrets and shocking revelations that only your dear diary could be party to. Now, those embarrassing tales could repay you in hard cash.

Minx magazine, a self-styled Loaded for girls, has made its name on in-yer-face features and articles that are not afraid to pull punches. They now want genuine diary extracts to publish in the regular readers’ diary section of the magazine. They’ll pay Ł500 for 2,000 words written during a significant time of your life. For example, you may have recorded when you went absolutely wild in your first few weeks at college, or the nth time you fell in love, or the nth time you broke up with your boyfriend/girlfriend. For the full fee, Minx would require some photographic backup relevant to the story.

If your life is gripping or fascinating enough to entertain, then send a brief synopsis of approximately 100 words covering the main events to:

Minx (readers’ diaries), Victory House, 14 Leicester Place, London, WC2H 7BP.

Don’t forget to include a contact name and address!

International fees: short-term manna, long-term trap.
