Premier League transfer window

The winter transfer window opens on Wednesday 1st January 2025 and closes on the 3rd of February. If each club could sign one player, who should they go for?

Arsenal – Alexander Isak. Alexander Isak’s versatility and clinical finishing would strengthen Arsenal’s attack and provide depth for their title push, which feels now or never. Jesus is injury prone and not the best finisher. Alternatively, Arsenal could look to Gyokeres.

Aston Villa – Enzo Elliot.

Bournemouth – Djed Spence.

Brentford – Mohammed Salisu.

Brighton & Hove Albion – Kyle Walker-Peters.

Chelsea – Caoimhin Kelleher. Although shocking vs Newcastle, Caoimhin Kelleher’s shot-stopping and distribution would provide Chelsea with a reliable and promising goalkeeping option.

Crystal Palace – Neco Williams.

Everton – Largie Ramazani.

Fulham – Pierre-Emile Højbjerg. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg would bolster their midfield, having lost Palhinha.

Ipswich Town – Renato Veiga. A versatile player, Renato Veiga’s physical presence would strengthen Ipswich’s midfield or defence. They need to stop shipping goals.

Leicester City – Deivid Washington. Another Chelsea academy player, Deivid Washington’s potential could help Leicester score more goals.

Liverpool – Martin Zubimendi. 2nd time is the charm! After being mugged off in the summer, Liverpool should go back in. Martin Zubimendi is the perfect midfielder for Slot’s system to rotate with Gravenberch.

Manchester City – Carlos Baleba. City miss Rodri. Carlos Baleba’s would bring everything they miss back. Do not be shocked if this move transpires next summer.

Manchester United – Theo Hernandez. If anyone is going to offer him a contract United will. Left back is a weak position now with Shaw always injured. He would be a world-class option at left-back, and can also work in
Amorim’s WB system.

Newcastle United – Federico Dimarco.

Nottingham Forest – Ezgjan Alioski. Forest have been very good this season. Alioski could provide some depth in defence and midfield, being able to play in multiple positions.

Southampton – Tyler Morton.

Tottenham Hotspur – Alphonse Areola or Łukasz Fabiański. A loan for either of the West Ham men would be helpful until Vicario is back.

West Ham United – Santiago Giménez  Its been a decade and Antonio is still the first choice striker? Santiago Giménez’s movement and goal-scoring could get West Ham up the table.

Wolves – Jayden Oosterwolde.
