Film set spotted around Blackett Lab and Union Building filming The Conjuring

A film crew was spotted in the Blackett Laboratory and around the Union Building on Friday 27th September. Crew members were spotted with ID cards and bottles stating they were part of the cast and crew for the latest film in The Conjuring franchise, Last Rites.

John Matheson, 4th year MSci Physics said “there were quite a few people” gathered around the entrance to Lecture Theatre 1 in Blackett, “around 20 all in all. They were in front of lecture theatre 1 [sic] and inside the lecture hall.” Another 4th year student David Bates reported seeing “two massive lights” facing the wall outside the lecture theatre.

Another 4th year MSci Theoretic Physics student, Stella Cloëz, managed to take a picture of some of their crew members items. A member of Union staff told Felix that they had seen “3 old school cars [sic]”, one of which was an “old school taxi” from New York.

Both Imperial College and Warner Bros did not respond to requests for comment.
