ICU to host Wardening Town Hall for student hall support concerns

Imperial College Union (ICU) has planned a Town Hall session schedule for the afternoon of Wednesday 11 November as the College announced student hall support teams restructuring. The session will take place in Beit Hall.

Wardens, sub-wardens, hall seniors, and any student or staff member who has questions or concerns about the changes is welcome.

The initiative is part of ICU’s recognition of concerns and confusion amongst first-year students and members of student hall support teams.

Members of ICU will be present, answering questions to the best of their knowledge, with the initiative’s aim being to promote productive discussion and community organising amongst the student body.

Members of Imperial’s Student Support Service have also been invited.

The College put forward a proposal earlier this month to the Education and Student Experience Committee (ESEC) to reorganise the student hall support team structures, involving a new out-of-hours advising team and halving the number of wardens. This was postponed to begin next academic year, with this year defined as a structured transition period.
