Student Experience Fund relaunches for this year

Imperial College Union relaunched the Student Experience fund for students who would be unable to afford taking part in the Union’s activities and events on Wednesday 9th October. Originally launched last year, the fund is run by the Union, and funded jointly by the Union, the College, and Imperial College Trust.

Students on an Imperial Bursary will automatically receive the fund, in varying bands based on their bursary allowance. The threshold for recipients has been expanded for students whose household income is less than £70,000, and the Union is also aiming to fund non-bursary students, including both postgraduates and international students through a self-declaration form.

Initially the brainchild of Dylan Hughes, 2022/23 Deputy President (Clubs & Societies), it has been expanded upon by Christian Cooper, his successor, who was elected for a second term in earlier this year in March 2024.
